Donald Harper, a professor and administrator for 41 years in the U of M’s Carlson School of Management, passed away on February 25. Harper was one of the first faculty affiliates in the CTS research program. His work included analyses of Minnesota’s energy transportation system, intermodal rail-truck freight transportation facilities, and the impact of just-in-time production and inventory management.
“Don was a great friend of CTS, and, along with Fred Beier, was critical in developing our relationship with the Carlson School, as we worked to increase our multidisciplinary expertise and particularly our ability to address freight issues,” says Robert Johns, former CTS director.
