Journal features U of M research on transit investment and land development

greenline.jpgA special issue of Transport Policy focused on transit investment and land development features papers authored by three CTS scholars: Jason Cao, Yingling Fan, and Andrew Guthrie.

Cao’s paper, “Real estate development in anticipation of the Green Line light rail transit in St. Paul,” examines the effect of the Green Line on economic development prior to the line’s opening. Cao also served as a guest editor of the special issue.

Fan and Guthrie’s paper, “Developers’ perspectives on transit-oriented development,” reviews a study that¬†explored the attitudes toward and interest in transit-oriented development among residential and commercial developers in the Twin Cities region.
