CTS Scholars Nikos Papanikolopoulos and Will Northrop receive awards

Congratulations to CTS Scholars Nikolaos Papanikolopoulos and Will Northrop on their recent awards!papanik_head1

Papanikolopoulos, a professor in the U’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering, recently received the George Saridis Leadership Award in Robotics and Automation from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers’ Robotics & Automation Society. The award recognizes outstanding contributions of an individual for exceptional leadership, innovation, and dedication that benefit the robotics and automation community.


Northrop, an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, received the Ralph R. Teetor Educational Award from the Society of Automotive Engineers in recognition of his outstanding contributions to SAE’s engineering education initiatives. Northrop was recognized and honored as a young educator preparing engineers to successfully meet the challenges that face society.
